I just realized that when Celine Dion won (1988) the thorphy was given to her by Johnny Logan after his second win, and now, Nemo has recivied their trophy by Loreen after her second win. Sometimes Eurovision is very cyclical.

I actually met Bambie Thug at a Eurovision afterparty in Dublin the night they won Eurosong (Ireland’s national selection). Honestly, they’re really nice in person. 😁

The decline in the quality compared to the 90s is very obvious. The majority of the singer's can't even sing , the songs are terrible, aside from the winning song. I am surprised it was 11th on the odds. Russia's song was fresh for the year 2000, but her accent was bad. Turkey was OK too. Latvia's 3rd place is probably the most WTF moment in the history of the competition.

And Danijela started that trend with clothing...😀 She was first on Eurovision with that...
